Textile Movement is the Västra Götaland region's initiative to establish West Sweden as an innovative role model for a sustainable and circular transition in the textile industry in the EU.
The aim is to strengthen the competitiveness of companies and increase the attractiveness of new investments and future skills supply in textiles and fashion. The ambition is to establish a long-term initiative that develops and embraces Västra Götaland's textile area of strength.
The movement is a coalition of business and public actors that will work together to create a common platform and community in six areas of textile excellence:
- Circular design
- Access to local production
- Materials development
- Open innovation environments
- Tomorrow's talents
- Open test markets
