Gemme Collective
Design studio, fashion collective and a circular experiment.
Gemme Collective believes in using what is already available. In a future where new production is reduced. For them, circularity means the ability to recycle and reuse materials that already exist. By producing locally in their own micro-factory in Stockholm, they avoid overproduction and further minimize environmental impact. They also contribute to society by creating employment opportunities for people who are currently not part of the workforce.
WI x Gemme Collective
Wargön Innovation supports Gemme Collective with sorting out garments from the residual streams that are not in good enough condition to be sold on the Swedish second-hand market.
Gemme Collective is supported by Wargön Innovation through the project Innovation Environment for Sustainable Production and Circular Flows, a project funded by the European Regional Development Fund, Region Västra Götaland, Vänersborg Municipality and Fyrbodal Municipal Association.
