Luger
Circular officials' shirts for a sustainable event industry.
Luger is one of the Nordic region's leading booking agencies and concert and festival organizers. They organize concerts and festivals with both Swedish and international acts in Sweden and the Nordic region. Luger organizes, among other things, the music festival Way Out West, a festival that actively works to develop sustainable events. Textiles have a major environmental and climate impact and therefore work has been done to find ways to reduce their impact linked to textiles at the festival. This year, the work is being developed further together with us at Wargön Innovation.
WI x Luger
With an ambition to organize a sustainable event, we are exploring the possibilities of offering recycled t-shirts as functional clothing during the Way Out West festival. Wargön Innovation contributes with project management, sorting of t-shirts from our textile sorting, analysis of the collection and processing of the material, as well as communicative efforts about the work and the result. Through the project, we explore innovative strategies to reduce textile resource consumption in the event industry and find solutions and value chains for circular workwear.
Luger is supported by Wargön Innovation through the project Innovation Environment for Sustainable Production and Circular Flows, a project funded by the European Regional Development Fund, Region Västra Götaland, Vänersborg Municipality and Fyrbodal Municipal Association.
