A large-scale and automated repair service so that more businesses can become part of a circular economy.
RecoMended is a purpose-driven company that, by automating reconditioning and repair, wants to reduce the amount of discarded textiles and instead extend the life of textile products. In the long run, the goal is to have its own factory where large flows can be repaired and reconditioned and get a higher value to then be sold or rented out.
Together, Erik Lindtorp and Rickard Ledin da Rosa are developing a large-scale automated repair service so that more businesses can become part of a circular economy.
WI x RecoMended
At Wargön Innovation, RecoMended has access to our test and demo environment where they have built a pilot plant for testing and developing a scalable production process for remake and reconditioning of textiles. Our project managers and textile evaluators support in finding the best approaches to update and recondition a garment.
The collaboration between RecoMended and Wargön Innovation is expected to contribute to the reduction of textile waste through the creation of new circular business opportunities. The aim of RecoMended's idea is to find new ways of working and methods for reconditioning and mending using automation.
RecoMended is supported by Wargön Innovation through the project Innovation Environment for Sustainable Production and Circular Flows, a project funded by the European Regional Development Fund, Region Västra Götaland, Vänersborg Municipality and Fyrbodal Municipal Association.
