Artex: Creating new products from old train seats
Large quantities of textile waste are generated by industry today. It is, for example, waste from production and this waste is utilized to a very low extent today. We at Wargön Innovation and our project partners at Artex think this is a big waste of resources. Together with 34 other partners who want to move forward and work to reduce textile waste, we started a project to find better ways to use the textile residues.
For Artex, this meant working with a waste product from their own production. They have taken used train and bus seats and created a new product, a sound absorber. In the video below you can see the process from train seat to sound absorber.
